The new south-eastern bypass around Jihlava is complete – we have finished it ahead of schedule

On Friday, 17 October 2025, as one of the members of the "Společnost II/602 Jihlava – JV obchvat – část VÝCHOD" (Company II/602 Jihlava – SE bypass – EAST section), we put the eastern section of the south-eastern bypass around Jihlava into operation. The new road connects the II/405 towards Třebíč with the II/602 to Velké Meziříčí and II/353 to Žďár nad Sázavou, with a connection to the D1 motorway. This means that the entire south-eastern bypass around Jihlava is now fully open.
The project, worth almost CZK 300 million and financed by SFDI subsidies, began in May 2024. The project includes a new roundabout near Helenín, two bridges and an underpass for pedestrians and cyclists.
Our goal was to complete the project to the highest standard and without unnecessary traffic restrictions – which we succeeded in doing. The bypass will significantly relieve traffic in the city centre and also forms a key part of the planned route for the transport of oversize components during the construction of new blocks at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant.
