On 27 February 2026, a ceremony was held to lay the foundation stone for the revitalisation of Mlýnský Ostrov stage two, symbolically marking the start of the next phase of the transformation of this area.
Construction work begins on 2 March, with the aim of creating a modern and open public space for sports, recreation and socialising for all generations.
The project will include, for example, a children's playground and workout area, sports facilities for ball and racket sports, children's water world and an amphitheatre for cultural and social events. The project will also include new background with sanitary facilities, a bridge, a footbridge, staircases and landscaping of the banks and vegetation throughout the area.
