Commencement of Construction of the Habrůvka, Křtiny WWTP and Sewerage System

On Friday, 23 October 2026, the Habrůvka, Křtiny WWTP and Sewerage System project was launched with a ceremonial laying of the foundation stone. IMOS Brno, as the consortium leader, is carrying out the construction together with Dopravní stavby Brno. The works include the intensification of the existing wastewater treatment plant in Křtiny and the construction of a new sewerage system in the municipality of Habrůvka.

The existing wastewater treatment plant in Křtiny has been in operation since 1997, and its capacity no longer meets current needs. In neighbouring Habrůvka, wastewater is not yet treated at all. The construction will enable further development of both municipalities and will contribute to environmental protection in the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area.

The construction includes the expansion of the wastewater treatment plant to a capacity of 1,750 population equivalent, the construction of 3.5 km of sewer network and 2.4 km of rising mains, and the construction of two pumping stations.

The client is Svazek vodovodů a kanalizací měst a obcí Boskovice (Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Towns and Municipalities, Boskovice). Completion of the construction is scheduled for autumn 2028.
